CONNECTING TALENT THROUGH A DIGITAL APPRENTICESHIP PLATFORM
Prentis+ is a platform built to connect young job seekers with apprenticeship opportunities. Developed by Cardiff App Developers for Catrin Rees, founder of Prentis+ Ltd., the platform simplifies the application process by allowing candidates to apply for multiple apprenticeships through a single-step submission. The project comprised two core components: a web-based admin panel for employers to post and manage apprenticeship opportunities, and a mobile application with a swipe-based interface for applicants to browse and apply with ease.
As part of the Future Destinations Project for the Skills Baccalaureate Wales, students are encouraged to speak with people currently working in the career field they aspire to break into in the future. Cardiff App Developers spoke to my student who is aspiring to be a software developer and were able to share their knowledge and expertise in the field and give insight to the rich and varied opportunities available as a software developer. It was an inspiring conversation for the student that was successful in reinforcing his decision to follow a path into software development and engineering.
